Our technology solves the problem of drummers having to purchase multiple snare drums and or bring multiple snare drums on tour or to recording sessions/gigs. With our extension, alignment and closure technology we can now give drummers the option to quickly modify our one drum into many different drum iterations through the use of extension rings. The Butterfly drum's base depth starts out at 5", and extension rings of varying depth (1.5", 2", 3"), can be added which dramatically changes the sonic characteristics of the drum without the user having to touch or tune the top or bottom head. This extension ring modification can be done in under one minute and will allow a drummer to make quick tonal modifications to better align with the performance requirements and or acoustics of the venue.
